Water

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to present obstacles in our day to day life, HTWSA would like to assure all customers that we continue to be dedicated to providing safe drinking water. The virus does not impact the public water system and residents may continue to use and drink water from their tap as normal. For more information regarding any concerns with your drinking water please see the following article from the EPA.

At this time, it is important to remind our residents that they should only be flushing human waste and toilet paper. We understand with the shortage of toilet paper that we have started to rely on other consumer products for personal use. Any product marketed as “flushable” still does not break down in the system the way that toilet paper does. Other frequently disposed items that are not broken down and could potentially lead to a pricey repair: Feminine Hygiene Products, Paper Towels, Tissues, Gloves, Disinfectant and Baby Wipes and Contraception. In order to be able to maintain our wastewater systems, it is crucial that only human waste and toilet paper are being flushed, all other items should be placed in proper trash receptacles.

Office and field staff still remain available if the need arises, but the office is still closed to the public. Should a need arise, you may reach out to us directly at 215-453-6065 or via email at: hilltowntownship@gmail.com.
